Our Kapai Puku No. 1 Hair Health mix has been meticulously formulated based around our supreme range of Kapai Puku Blends. Not only is it high in fibre, it also contains Essential Fatty Acids, Minerals of Zinc, Silica and Magnesium. Being high in fibre helps regulate your digestive system, seeds are also high in plant compounds that help compete with cholesterol absorption in the GUT and encourage excretion and a lower blood cholesterol concentration (1). Seeds, combined with fruits in the mix, create a power pack of vitamins and minerals including Essential Fatty Acids 3 and 6, Vitamin C, B6, and potassium, and Magnesium all shown to have positive effects on hair health.
Diced fruits of organic fig, banana, and mango are included as they are all high in vitamins and minerals and phyto chemical antioxidants, helping the body on many levels. Bananas are also high in potassium a mineral that contributes to proper muscle contraction and cell and organ function, especially the heart. Seeds and Figs are also high in Magnesium another mineral critical for hair health. Some refer to it as the ‘anti stress or relaxation’ mineral, important for both nerve and muscle function. If there are deficient levels, the heart valves and walls undergo changes and tend to constrict, a possible mechanism for hypertension.
Magnesium helps to produce energy, synthesize DNA, maintain strong bones and helps your nerves, muscles and heart to work normally.
Edible mushrooms have been consumed for centuries; however, in the last 50 years more research has been conducted on their effects and reishi mushrooms is one of the few that stands apart and is know as “king of mushrooms.” Bio-compounds found in reishi mushrooms, such as polysaccharides has the ability to activate your immune system. These mushrooms are strongly anti-inflammatory and tied to longevity, better immune function and mental clarity. In clinical trials, Reishi Mushrooms relieved fatigue, anxiety and depression brought on by endocrine therapy in the test subjects.
